Romania’s trovants are geologic oddities
Kind greeting to you, my dear reader, and welcome to a new category of posts, Monster Musings. Today we’re learning about “trovants”.
So you know, I don’t anticipate any real writing of my own to come out of this category. By that, I mean this category isn’t about girl or me, it’s 100% about you. Essentially, Monster’s Musings is designed to be a place where I can share some reading with you. I read a lot, so it seems to be a waste not to share good reads of all kinds with you. My interests are somewhat eclectic: Science, history, politics, and perhaps camping/travelling, are all likely topics.
You all know I’m a science geek, right? IFL Science (short for “I Fucking Love Science”) is a favorite site of mine. They bill themselves as “The Lighter Side of Science” and to me it’s all light, fun reading and I enjoy sharing my love of science.
Today were talking about Romania’s trovants. Don’t know what a trovant might be? That’s ok, I didn’t know either…
So, go read this article from IFL Science titled These Mysterious “Living” Rocks Seem To Give Birth To Baby Stones, subtitled “Romania’s trovants are geological oddballs that sound like something from sci-fi.”
Romanian rocks from science fiction? Sounds like fun to me, how about you? Let’s go learn about trovants!
