Another look a Jack London’s classic short story
Yesterday I shared one of my favorite short stories, To Build a Fire by Jack London. It’s both a classic of American literature, and very much a classic story for outdoorsmen. I probably read it when I was 15 years old, and it still sticks out in my mind. So much of what we learned back in the 1970’s at St. Katherine’s / St. Mark’s (now Rivermont Collegiate) in Bettendorf Iowa is gone, but not To Build a Fire.
When I found that short story recently, I also found an award winning film based on London’s classic tale. The list of awards this film received is very impressive, and much like the book, it’s a very worthwhile 13 minutes!
I tried to embed it here, with some success, but it may be better viewed on Vimeo itself. That’s it! I just wanted to share…
Here’s are the movie’s credits…
